Discuss your reflections on the module, 'What is a wiki?' here.

* What have I learnt?
* What is still unclear?
* What do I need to follow up on?
* Where to from here?
* What other stuff I have read or accessed to help me make sense of it all?
Do you find this valuable?

I haven't finished looking at the different providers, but I loved the wikimatrix compare site. It shows the differences really clearly, and I think I'm going to register for all three while I'm learning and play.
However, I suspect that for primary school use, wikispaces may be the best one.

Hi, Lisa,

yeah -- I think that's the best way to see what suits you: join up for a few different wiki services and then test them. I know a lot of teachers who use Wikispaces. The main ones seem to be WetPaint, PB Wiki and WikiSpaces. MediaWiki is the one that powers Wikipedia and has the advantage of being able to be downloaded and then put onto your own server. I know that that's important for some people.

I'll be doing this next week on Wednesday. At my school we have set aside Wednesday after school to play around and help each other with Web 2.0. I'm the only one fooling around with wikis at this stage, but that's ok, I'm sure others will eventually come on board. Do you find this valuable?
