I want to learn how to do a professional looking education wiki like the other ones I've seen - and in particular, I want to use it for the school's staff manual.Do you find this valuable? |

This week I've discovered a new reason to be using wikis. A colleague and I had responsibility for some Y6 students who were not going on camp, and we discovered that some of them had reading skills that were not good enough for the online research that we wanted them to do. We decided to write a kid friendly version of the info on a wiki and re-opened my long disused wikispaces page. We couldn't figure out how to add a new page, and didn't have much time to learn it, so the simplest solution was for my colleague to join wikipaces too and we used her account to do it. (It was extremely successful with even our ESL students able to find the information we wanted them to have). So this coming holidays I'm going to resurrect my participation in this course, and hopefully encourage my colleague to join me. Do you find this valuable? |
